Section 1 - The Bible
Summary Sentence:
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and as such is our final authority on all matters of faith and practice.
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and as such is our final authority on all matters of faith and practice.
Is this brief enough?
Should there be something in there about the 66 books?
Something about scripture interpreting scripture?
Something about the Holy Spirit?
The 1689 Baptist Confession of Faith
In an attempt to create a brief summary of the 1689 Baptist confession of Faith I'm going to post some suggestions for a summary sentence for each of the 32 sections of the confession. The hope is that as people read this they will make some useful comments that will help us to come up with a useful short edition of the confession that can be used as an introduction to what Baptists believe.
